Construction of an Outpost at the Martian South Pole...
I begin a sandbox game centred around building a science outpost for up to ten personnel at the southern pole on Mars.
This outpost will need to have at least one laboratory, Including all necessary equipment, Several Hydroponics bays, A number of pressurised habitats for both living quarters (radiation shielded) and storage, An assortment of vehicles,
And enough stores to last several weeks without a resupply drop.
Timescale is 1 to 1 ie realtime and this is the most inhospitable scenario within the game right.
Winter puts you into constant sunlight, With the added increase in radiation exposure.
Summer plunges you into extremely low temperatures and perpetual darkness. (Summer and winter are reversed at the south polar region)
There is also the increased danger from Polar storms, High speed winds and blizzard conditions.
