I used the lightning whip and hopefully this could shed some light on melee/close range play at lower realms. Spear's special attack is extremely helpful at such range, therefore, I'm not going full lightning yet. I was also extremely lucky that a mythical beasts in the special land (Evergreen) dropped the Ethereal Cloud (Mount) for me.
