Tales of Arise - Part 13: Through the Greenery / Viscint / Boss: Zacarania
0After a pit stop at the Overseer Hill, we explore the Traslida Highway, which has some key differences from the demo! As we enter, an automatic scene with Alphen and Law triggers a mandatory quest, and a few fights will complete it and unlock Battle Chains, granting increasing bonuses as we keep fighting in rapid succession! And this area certainly has a lot of zeugles to fight for that purpose, including one particular group that gets joined by a Dragon!
Partway through the Highway, we help an old man go back to his ranch, which then becomes ours to use! A good way to get our own food!
But eventually we do have to continue, and finally reach Viscint, a peaceful city of harmony between Dahnans and Renans, all thanks to their Lord Dohalim. There's still some trouble here and there, so we have some side quests we can take care of as we discover the city!
Eventually, our exploration leads us to a quarry where we meet Kisara, the Captain of the Guard, and get an invitation to the palace to meet the Lord of the place, which we accept. Turns out he is a very different man from the two previous Lords, and the group parts ways with him without needing to fight him, after plundering the palace for all we can find, it's time to rest up at the inn!
Next morning, a black cat seems to want to guide us somewhere, and following it leads us to the Gilanne Wood, a verdant place filled with zeugles, including a massive plant-based one, Zacarania is the boss of this place!
This is a relatively simple fight, the boss' main body is out of range, but its four tentacles aren't, and taking them all down lets you attack the main body directly to finish things. Its attacks are nothing extraordinary and you can exploit its weakness to Wind to make things faster.
Well that was quite the episode, wasn't it?
