Tales of Destiny 2 [Eternia] is the third game within the "Tales of" series and the second game to be released outside of Japan. This game is confused with the Japan-only game of the same name in the U.S., as this game was called Tales of Eternia in Japan. The reason for the name change was due to trademark infringement on the name Eternia, which was owned by Mattel in North America for the "Masters of the Universe" toyline. Geez, thanks a lot Mattel.

In this game, you journey as Reid Hershel, the main character of the game, who joins with several other characters throughout the story. He's strong and good with a sense of justice, but he's also a bit of a pessimist and doesn't like to get involved in matters that are overly complex or don't concern himself. He and his childhood friend, Farah Oersted notice a strange disturbance in the sky one day and a flash of light crashes into their planet from Celestia, a planet which hasn't had contact with their world of Inferia for approximately 2000 years.

They investigate what crashed only to find what they assume to be an alien girl of sorts who speaks in a language that they don't understand. She is not allowed at their home village, so Farah decides to help the girl and leave home, to which Reid reluctantly decides to go with them (mainly because the girl, Meredy, likes Reid and won't go with just Farah). From there, things become more mysterious and it sets the tone of the adventure which spans three discs. Enjoy.
