Chronos is fairly similar to his first form. His weight class increases from normal to heavy, so he can't be lifted high to be infinitely juggled. He gets a new arcane arte[Chronos Laser/Beam], a new spell[Gravity Meteor], a 'Call Friends' arte, and an extended normal attack combo, to which none are any dangerous. He has two very useful skills here; Last Stand(if HP less than 25%, dmg reduced by 75%; e.g. 400 dmg = 100 dmg), and Opportune Moment(i.e. successful backstep = Time Stop). Last Stand drags the battle out, increasing chances of me making a mistake and getting hit. Opportune Moment is just as cheaply abused as Muzet did in the final battle of X1, except worst, since any attack you use on him while he's not attacking will be backstepped almost every time(and he has an extra-long backstep to ensure you miss).

Outside of that, he is not too difficult, since my STR is maxed and can break his IS with any attack. The only true danger is still Chronos Collider(and Time Stop of course), since he can use it as early as the start of battle(but uses it more after 50%HP), but its still mostly used on wake-up, which I am already familiar with handling that scenario.

Still, since the battle is elongated because of Last Stand, I don't take too many chances. I stick to a single set of attacks, using Soaring Vortex and Rabid Lunge to knockdown, deal damage in knockdown status(OTG artes(i.e. Earth Roar, Swallow Flight, Rending Quake, Eagle's Rage[last hit]) receive no damage scaling while enemy is in knockdown status), and using Earth Roar to [attempt to] re-knockdown Chronos to deal a bit more damage safely. Keepin' it simple.
