Game Modifications:
-Modded Leia into the party alone
-Used Encounter Edit (Alvin doesn't normally have a retry option after dying to him so this is why I used it)
-Lowered my damage so Alvin could live longer

Strategy:
Pretty straightforward 1v1 fight. He has three counters: a normal attack, Sonic Thrust, and Tornado Drive (although he only uses Tornado Drive if he's in the air). Sonic Thrust is actually quite difficult to dodge as it has a pretty quick start up. The backstep timing has to be pretty precise and I honestly didn't learn it since I think he's more likely to use Tornado Drive haha. Tornado Drive is a pretty insane anti-air option for Alvin which means that I can't go too crazy on the aerial combos. This is why I stuck with shorter aerial combos that ended with Rabid Lunge.

Because of Alvin's range, engaging him with Soaring Blast is the safest option. Although Darting Claw is also a viable engage if I know he's not using Variable Trigger or Pulse Shot (I can tell because these artes have quite a long range so if he's running at me I'll know he's using something melee). Also, he can be guard manipulated into using Pulse Shot/Variable Trigger, but this doesn't do me too much good. It is fun to dodge though so I decided to play around with that a bit.
