"After meeting with the Swordlord. I decided to get to know my competition. I met a young bard who believed that I would make a good subject for her book.
I also met a gnomish sorcerer, who for some odd reason gave me a
magic ring. the fool.
I then retired to my bedchamber."

"I was awoken to the sounds of combat. the young bard barged into my room and stated that the mansion was under attack. I gathered my gear to deal with these soon to be dead men. for having the audacity to get in my way.

the fight to the main hall was brutal. met up with some of the other mercenaries along the way. including that gnome. who was quickly getting on my nerves.

we defeated to assassins, in the aftermath, the gnome named me traitor. he pointed to the ring he gave me as proof. I wanted to cut him into right then and there. but I restrained myself. killing now would avail me nothing.

the Swordlord did not know who to trust. so we were divided into two parties. most of the mercenaries I had met came with me.

we headed to Oleg's trading post after that."
