4MOD X is an abstract strategy game from Cryptozoic. In it, up to four players take turns placing plastic Xs on the board, trying to create specific scoring patterns. Making strategic use of the joker pieces, blocking others from scoring, and trying to prevent your point markers from getting covered by your opponents all help make Mod X feel like a serious upgrade to games like Connect 4 and Checkers. While being easy enough for kids to learn and enjoy, Mod X offers some chess-level strategy and its replayability feels pretty much endless!
