Learn from others, but don’t betray
Your roots, your heart—don't stray away.
For he who forgets his mother's love,
God shall judge from above.
Strangers will shun him, close their doors,
Even his children—like distant shores.
He’ll find no joy on this earth,
A home without warmth or mirth.
So embrace, my brothers, embrace the least—
Make your mother's tears cease!
She’ll bless you with hands firm and warm,
And kiss your lips—newly reborn!
The shameful past will fade away,
The glory of Ukraine will stay.
A bright, eternal light will shine,
A new day for our land divine.
So embrace, my brothers, unite!
I plead, I pray, with all my might!
