Zeus presents Target Renegade+ (aka Renegade II) (128k Mod - New Levels) (un-emulated) for the zx spectrum, a wonderful update of a true classic game from the golden era of spectrum gaming which must not be forgotten alongside the software house and all programmers that were involved in making this game.

Year of release: 1988 / 2015

Well after the fantastic new levels of the original Renegade on the Spectrum by Ralf (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FImRTgT3GTI), we were begging for the same to be done to it's sequel Target Renegade and now we have it.
Redesigned by Rafal Miazga in 2015, these new backgrounds give the game a fresh lease of life and as I found myself getting ready for level 1, I got goosebumps just as I did when I first played the original on the speccy all those years ago.
The gameplay is exactly the same, all moves and sounds are the same but with fresh backgrounds and higher difficulty.
The enemies are even more intelligent, they are also harder to defeat and take more hits to KO, in fact when playing the game in 1-player mode (sadly no 2 player mode in this version), you will also have to beat the 2-player enemies meaning you have twice as many baddies to KO making the game far more challenging as I found out,...seriously harder.
So, if you feel the original Target Renegade is a bit easy for you now, then I suggest trying this version as it will provide a far more tougher challenge and the new backgrounds will certainly entertain you.
This is what Renegade III should have been instead of what we were given, so avoid Renegade III after playing the original Target and go straight to this!
All in all a true classic which has had a face lift and what a great result it is, well done Ralf from WOS forums.
