These maps are big, but so often can be finished quickly. Half of the keys are optional, and then there are many shortcuts, probably not-intended...
On the other hand, if one plays these maps for the first time, it may take hours due to unmarked mandatory secrets...

map01
Strange progression, originally you needed to climb up the tower, enter the chaingunner compartment (opens the exit), get the blue key and exit. This is like 15% of the level. Grazza discovered that climbing can be done quickly by lowering a lift from a side. In this run I skip the key as I found a tricky jump through the window.

UV Speed route without invulnerability. I need all the keys and theoretically they can be collected in any order. However, the teleporter near the YK leads to the exit, so the YK should be collected last. Then, the RK leads to the YK... So BK=-RK=-YK is definitely the fastest combination.
map04
Pretty interesting as there are two main routes and derivatives. (en04n134 shows one of them, en04-056 another one). All I need is the BK and pressing one important switch which creates that long stone staircase.
I opted for the invulerability as it is just on the way to the switch. An imp lowered the lift for me. Then I strafe-jump through the second window, it doesn't work through the first (the player gets stuck later). Finally, there is an arch-vile jump to prevent delay, as the stairs "collapse" for a few seconds.
I believe this jump is very difficult without tools because when the player starts the jump, he is just baaarely within AV's line-of-sight.
map05
This map is all about crossing some not obvious linedefs and riding the same lift three times. I cut down this number to two times thanks to a tricky wallrun+rocket jump combination performed TWICE.

The biggest map, I need all the keys and only minor shortcuts are available.

Wow, only the YK is needed. I believed the intention was that pistol starters would find the final area overwhelming with only minor weapons, so they would need to get the other keys - but then, there is a secret BFG...
I was looking forward build a spectacular platforming section, but then I discovered this secret room (not marked as such) with a stimpack and shells, from which I could rocket jump and just forget about platforming.

Loooong. Crazy lifts in crazy scenery at the end.

This level was rushed, just wanted this to be finished. Nice cacodemon, stood in the window so the lift lowered at 8:13 (1:03 on map09).
