In this game, you must compete in 10 minigames for the high score. Technically after doing the nationals, you qualify for the world championship, but I'm pretty sure there is no point. We already obtained the highest score possible, so it would just be a repeat.

Unlike other Tool Assisted Speedruns, the aim here is for the highest score, not the fastest win time. As a result, I'm a bit sloppy around menus, and let the game actually read out my scores instead of skipping the announcer every time.

Stage Notes:
100m Dash - Almost every game requires mashing ABABABABABA until your fingers bleed. This is no exception.
Long Jump - Any stage with 3 tries only takes your best score. So I just waste the other attempts being silly.
Shotput - I'm so strong, the camera ends up panning over to the blackhole hiding behind the bleachers. In these throwing games, we button mash such that the meter wraps around a bit.
High Jump - I skip the lower bars. After that, it turns out the game *does* have some element of randomness. The same exact button presses sometimes result in knocking the bar, and other times it's enough to get over. Also they clearly didn't expect you to be running this fast, as the speed meter is messed up.
400m - Running like naruto does not make you faster, but it sure is fun.
Hurdles - mash more buttons
Discus - Getting 100 meters results in a missing voice clip. It also means that I fail to get the World Record because the game gets confused (but it does award me correct points). We can even throw it far enough to see the next bleachers over (???).
Pole Vault - Straight forward.
Javelin - Can't get it quite as far out of bounds as the others.
1500m - This is the level that fucking sucks. If you aren't playing at superhuman speed, your fingers will hurt after almost 5 full minutes of button mashing. However, our robot is fast enough to actually lap one of the CPUs!

Total Score: 14020
This is the only high score for this game I know of.

Possible Improvements:
In the options menu, there is the ability to turn on Wind. I have no idea what it does, but I'm assuming is slows things down, probably doesn't make them faster. But who knows!
