The follow-up to Tekken is a versus fighting game featuring similar mechanics, with four buttons assigned to left and right punches and kicks. New moves include back throws, chain-throws, and a sidestep unique to Kazuya and Heihachi Mishima. Tackles now inflict damage depending on the distance.

This time, Spikestuff (http://tasvideos.org/Spikestuff.html) disables music and enables Quick Select to complete the game even faster. This improves on the previous publication (http://tasvideos.org/2988M.html) by 2"81 in in-game time, thanks to doing the aforementioned steps and better optimization.

Since the game is rather dull without its music, the downloadable encodes feature alternate audio tracks that restore the in-game music. The second track features the arranged soundtrack that's enabled by default on the PS1, whereas the third track features the soundtrack from the Arcade version (with the exception of the credits theme). The second YouTube stream features the original arranged soundtrack.
