This is a Tool-Assisted Superplay/Speedrun (often abbreviated to "TAS") where a player can edit, rerecord, and manipulate a game into doing whatever that person desires. Visit http://tasvideos.org/ for more information.

Because of the cycling hallways, it turns out that the best strategy is to loop around to score 8000 point bumps repeatedly, which is pretty nifty. The leftover time is spent on a Koopa loop, and then zipping through the rest of the level.

With this, I have now completed a TAS for every level in Challenge Mode, which has been a really fun and challenging project. The grand total score across all 32 levels is 12407050, and I'm sure with even more optimization and perfection that some scores can still be improved. There are a number that are maxed out almost certainly, but the complicated levels are much harder to judge.

The non-TAS record at this time is 105000 by Passenger87.
