Comments:

Quick tas I whipped up in a few days. I've been wanting to make an episode two tas for a while due to Akse's being pretty outdated. I recently decided just to go for it, and I think I turned out with a pretty neat tas.

Merry Christmas!

E2M1: 30 might be possible here, I was racing against Vita's IL tas here, and at some points I was ahead but at some he was.

E2M2: I don't think 12 is possible on UV, so I just went for 13. Alps did say he had an old demo that lost two tics for 12 though, so maybe it is.

E2M3: Getting the zombieman in the right spot was a pain, but it still ended up matching Zero Master's pacifist IL tas. I'm fine with 10. Brute forcing the glide didn't take much work. After successfully getting into the void I used turning to spike my momentum faster.

E2M4: Low effort here, honestly 33 is probably possible, but that's out of my skill range. I could have gone for a 34, but 35 is still pretty nice.

E2M5: I originally landed on a 20 but I lost lots of time in the room filled with demons. I had already built the rest of the tas, so I optimized it then manipulated rng to be the same, but this ended up being pointless as I would end up rebuilding m6 anyways.

E2M6: Before I optimized m5 I built a 10.54, but I decided that 9 should be possible on uv as well, so I made a quick IL tas of e2m6 in 9 seconds. I rebuilt m6, but I decided that I didn't want to rebuild m7 and m8 so I tried to manipulate rng to keep my work. At first it didn't work, and I was about to rebuild m7 and m8 when I realized I should use a different angle for the rocket to take less damage just in case I needed the extra health. Then I realized the rng index was much closer to what I needed it to be if I didn't want to rebuild m7 and m8, and so with a shotgun blast I was able to keep all my work on m7 and m8. I did decide to rebuild part of m8 however, as there was a sloppy mistake halfway.

E2M7: Originally built an 8.23, and with some more effort I was able to cut it down to an 8.11. I realized I could wallrun beforehand, but I couldn't seem to get it to work. I decided to go for the 0.000000 trick and see if that would help, and it did! Saved just enough tics for a 7.

E2M8: I messed up by not getting the other rockets at the start, but I was easily able to get them back later in the run. Originally I had made a mistake where one rocket didn't hit the cyberdemon, but after I rebuilt m6 I decided to fix it. Turns out it didn't quite save enough time for a 25, but with some more optimization of rocket firing I was able to cut it down to a 25 by a healthy amount. Of course, if it weren't for the m3 glide I would have some extra cells which could speed this up, but 25 still matches Akse's m8 time in his tas so I'm okay with it :)

Some final comments -

The longer maps could be improved by better TASers, but I'm still happy with a 2:28

My first episode tas - I am 'working' on an episode four tas, but m6 is giving me lots of trouble.
