Tips and Tricks on how to beat Tattletail. These tips are especially helpful for the nights where you play Hide and Seek and when you perform the demonic Tattletail pentagram ritual to banish Mama. This guide can also be used to make beating the story from December 20th to December 25th a lot easier, in general.

*** How to Beat Mama ***

Whenever you see Mama, just walk backwards, break line of sight and she will teleport away from you. This is especially helpful for the Hidee and Seek minigame. Remember not to make a sound when near Mama Tattlletail, or you will trigger her jumpscare.

If you find getting away from Mama way too hard, there is a huge exploit that you can take advantage of to deal with her. For some reason, not matter how much noise you or your held Tattletail make, you are able to hide in your room safely from Mama, even if she is staring you down at the entrance. Use this tip to last with no problems in any of the nights or minigames in which you have access to your room.

*** Lights On Exploit ***

A couple of very interesting things happen when the lights go on throughout the game. The first is the game makes you believe that you have parents that are watching over you, tracking the noise you make. The second is the game leads you to believe that making noise at any time can attract Mama Tattletail. Neither of these beliefs are true and you can actually safely run, shake your glowstick and roam around the house as much as you want until the lights go out again. Use this glitch to your advantage to refill your Tattletail's Feed, Battery and Groom gagues as many times as you like before Mama's next appearance. This will give you a lot more time to relax and be able to beat the game!

I like to refer to the lights going on a a "calm period" Of course, if your toy is making a ton of noise while Mama is out, just run and shake your glowstick as you please. The noise doesn't add up, so you might as well take advantage fo the fact that you can't stop the Tattletail from complaining and screaming until you fix your care mistakes by feeding it, grooming it or recharging it.
