Team Fortress 2 - Mann VS Machine - Heavy/Gameplay Guide [Brass Beast Heavy + Outlands RC2 Review]
This is one of the ways I play a Heavy in Mann Versus Machine but there are multiple ways of playing heavy that you can raise fully well into a full pledged war machine. This also provides my review on Outlands RC2 Map (5/5) played over at Potato Canteen Crasher.
Outlands Lore:
Mann Co. has a rocket that they plan to use in their efforts to beat back the robot menace. The robots aren't having any of it however, and they have come to do what they do best (blow stuff up), so now you must do what you do best (stop them from blowing stuff up by blowing their stuff up), so that Mann Co. can continue to do one of the things they do best (blowing other stuff up).

My Review:
Beautifully defined in layout, shortcuts, ammo packs and health packs. The map is absolutely gold. There is a single direction the robot starts with, two walls on opposite sides that serve like a barricade, three spawn points and an upgrade station just close by. It's weather, atmosphere and over all design keeps you wanting to stay. The tanks can split in two directions and every pack serves it's purpose. You don't have to go around struggling to find where you have to go, one can easily tell just by taking a small little stroll around the map. This map is absolutely friendly to all sorts of engineers, noobs and tanks alike.
Heavy Weapon Bugs:
The second firing speed upgrade for every Minigun (except Tomislav) has no effect; also due to the firing rate being tick based, the indicated percentage is wrong:
- The first/second upgrade increases firing speed by 14%. Third by 29% and fourth by 43%.
- For the Tomislav, the first firing speed doesn't work, and the second tick increases the rate by 13%, 25% for the third upgrade, and 38% for the fourth upgrade.
Weapons:
Brass Beast - Without a doubt my favorite weapon, but it is not META or ranked first. Believe it or not, the Huo-Long Heater can easily rival its strength on the battlefield by a competent heavy and depending on the battle field, but over all highest damage output? I'd say that is the beast for sure.
Dalakohs Bar/Fish Cake - Best food to help your fellow medic gain more energy for his projectile shield but also makes you more tanky to damage + with the medic's overheal makes you survive longer than expected when you first start. However, this does not make it the best food.
Gloves of Running Urgently/Bread Bite - My personal favorite for when you are desperate for ammo with no dispenser in sight or when you have to grab a health pack. Most people would say 'But the Killing Boxes of Boxing give you crit!' (Sure, but is it useful when you are dead, Da?).
