I was having troubles getting past Stage 2-2 and jumped into WISP CIRCUIT Time Trial mode to practice drifting and after about an hour of practice I was able to drift the entire track and even got the trophy "On The Skids".

I jumped back into Stage 2-2 and after about an hour I obtained Platinum with Sonic. I then attempted this with Tails and completed this first attempt - in comparison Tails is so much easier for Stage 2-2.
