#TeamSeas - Mr. Beast and Mark Rober Need Our Help to Save the Ocean
πI have some super devastating statistics to share with youπ
Did you know that there is an estimated 200 million tons of plastic circulating in our marine environments, with an estimated 11 Million tons entering our oceans each and every year?!? We CANNOT sit idly by and let this happen. We owe it to the future generations and ourselves and our world to make a difference!
Our oceans are incredibly important. They don't only help us with the water we drink but they produce half the air we breathe every day. Not to mention all the amazing marine life that inhabits them.
I am truly honored to be joining @mrbeast, and @markrober in the @TeamSeas mission. We are looking to raise $30 Million dollars to remove 30 million pounds of plastic trash from our oceans, rivers, and beaches.
Here are a few ways you can help:
πGo to www.teamseas.org and donate
πShare this video to help get the word out
πGo on your favorite social media website and look up the hashtag #teamseas and engage on the content to help boost the posts so more people can see it
πCreate your own content using #teamseas and share why it is important to you to help save our oceans
100% of the proceeds raised will go directly to our partners @oceanconservancy and @theoceancleanup (Split 50/50 between these two).
Team Seas will be dividing their work between beaches, rivers, and oceans. Ocean Conservancy will send professional crews to clean up the most iconic and vulnerable beaches on the planet. They will also be holding safe locally hosted events where you can roll up your sleeves and make a difference firsthand.
Team Seas will fund Interceptors (The Ocean Cleanup's cutting river cleanup technology that actually collects trash before it can even reach the ocean.
Team Seas will also work with Ocean Conservancy's Global Ghost Gear Initiative to go to ghost gear "graveyards" (were lost, abandoned, and discarded fishing gear goes) and identify and float any abandoned gear to the surface where it will be hooked onto boat cranes and removed from the bottom of our ocean.
Together we can make a difference and save our marine environments! Whose with us?
