A year-and-a-half after Tecmo Bowl (https://youtu.be/OhaqDiG61Mw) landed on the NES and three months before the release of its sequel (https://youtu.be/IyHhFg3wod4), a portable version of Tecmo Bowl appeared on store shelves.
The Game Boy version, developed externally by Sculptured Software, provides the same fast-paced, arcade-style gameplay experience as the NES original did, just at a lower resolution and sans color and voices. It feels like its console sibling, and that was quite an achievement for a 1991 Game Boy release.
