Dusting off some old skills from my childhood on this one, as it is one of my favorite games of all time. Demonstrating some pretty exacting muscle memory here and there without really trying, Explaining strategy, quirks, nuances and tactics as I go. I also use some things I've learned over the years that I never got to before like the Mouser Master Mold "light bulb" start button glitch and the tunnel duck and cover on the last Technodrome hallway.
If you've wanted a very casual, but detailed walk through for this game because you've never played it, or you played it a lot and couldn't defeat it, I get you just about the whole way there without losing any Turtles on a whim, showing that this game isn't really that bad. Some optimized strategies, tricks and techniques are used, but mostly knocking off rust, definitely not intended as speed run strats or even personal best.
This was done using a real RGB modded Top Loader NES through SCART cable and the OSSC to manage the signal to get a crisp video feed from the console. This is NOT emulation. No Roll Back, no mid-game extra tries or software working arounds, just the rules we had to deal with as kids, limited continues, slow-down, all the frustration. Playing on an original NES controller gamepad.
