Hello and welcome back to our channel. Today we're going to be taking a look at the 2005 port of the arcade classic, Turtles in Time, which is an unlockable in TMNT 3 Mutant Nightmare.

As mentioned in my previous video, you can unlock this game by beating Episode 1 of Mutant Nightmare. Once unlocked, you'll notice that this version has had a few changes made to it. Firstly, the scores have been removed, and there's an unlimited credit system, so you won't have to worry about running out of quarters.

This version also has altered voices, and the music for each level is different. In fact, they have been replaced with the music from the DS version of Mutant Nightmare with the music for Stage 5 Skull and Crossbones being from the 2003 home console version of the game. I actually quite like the music in this version and in my opinion is very underrated but that’s probably because it's nothing like the iconic Turtles in Time music that we've become used to over the years.

Another notable difference between the original arcade version and this port is that the 2005 port doesn't have the credits at the end of the game, as you can see at the end of this video.

For me personally, the SNES version of the game is a lot more balanced and, hence, a lot more enjoyable. The SNES version also has a better control scheme. It's pretty obvious that the arcade game was designed to eat up as many coins as possible, and it hasn't aged particularly well, in my opinion.

Don't get me wrong, this version still has its charms, and it serves mostly as a nostalgia piece. But if you're looking for a more balanced and enjoyable experience, then the SNES version reigns supreme. Overall, this is still a fun game to play, and it's great to see it as an unlockable in Mutant Nightmare.
