Built a TEK base on a live stream and now just adding the finishing touches
Ragnarok adds several new creatures, such as the Ice Wyvern, Polar Bear, and Griffin, as well as 2 new dungeon bosses: the Ice Worm and the Lava Golem. It's a whole new map that boasts an expansive 144 sq. kilometer environment, an active volcano, species from DLC Scorched Earth, and higher than average spawn rates of Megalania and Ovis (creatures that are harder to find on other maps). The map is between 60% and 75% complete. Chunks of the map will be incrementally released in later patches. On Ragnarok are unique Beaver Dams; they are bigger and look more like beaver dams in real life. Beavers can live in the Dams, too.
The Tek Tier is a set of end-game structures and equipment using very advanced technology. The first wave was released January 30, 2017.
All Tek Tier objects require defeating bosses in order to craft and use (i.e. even if somebody gives a Tek Helmet, you can't equip it until you defeat Alpha Broodmother Lysrix). Everything but a few minor structures requires Element to craft and power, which can be obtained by defeating Bosses. Also, Black Pearls are needed for crafting Tek Tier equipment and some high end structures.
Giganotosaurs will 'casually' stroll about the Island, slaughtering anything in their path, this can lead them to wander to just about anywhere on the Island. Their lack of natural predator, or, really, any form of threat to them, allows for their safe voyages across the Island. Beware.
The Giganotosaurus is an aggressive creature. Due to its rage mechanic, it will get angrier when being attacked, which makes its attacks deal more damage. Also, it regains stamina faster when enraged. If it builds up too much rage, it may even kick off its own rider and attack them.
Its rage mechanic is not a health-percentage based trigger, it only occurs if enough damage occurs quickly enough. It will also trigger even if the server is set to the friendliest possible PvE and no friendly-fire settings, in which normally it is not possible to hurt anything not wild.
While its dossier implies that it is sluggish and slow, it is anything but that. Due to its large stride, allowing it to walk over most obstacles, and naturally high movement speed, the Giganotosaurus can outrun just about anything on the island. Combined with its very large aggro range this means it is a fast and dangerous predator.
