"There are 7 distinct timelines. A good explanation of it can be found in Kanzenshuu that shows when and why each timeline was created with respect to its time ring. http://www.kanzenshuu.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=42105 Daizenshuu 6 released 4 distinct Timlines. The Chouzenshuu 4, which is a revised and updated version, released 3 timelines because the Unseen Timeline was removed as there was a mistake. However, at the beginning of DBS, there are 5 time rings, so there are 5 total timelines.
Original Timeline (Timeline 3) - Cell kills Trunks and takes his time machine.
Unseen Timeline (Timeline 4) - No Cell Games. Trunks takes blueprints from here to future.
Future Trunks (Timeline 2) - Trunks kills Cell and Dabura. Black invades this timeline. Zeno erases it.
Main Timeline (Timeline 1) - Universe 7 wins Tournament of Power. What we watch.
First Alternate Timeline (Timeline 5) - Created by the universe 12 time traveler, the first alternate timeline created.
Former Main Timeline (Timeline 6) - Created when Beerus hakai'd Zamasu. The Zamasu from here becomes Black.
New Future Trunks (Timeline 7) - Two pairs of Trunks and Mai live here.
The Timeline numbers are based on the convention Toei and Daizenshuu use with keeping the Main timeline as number 1 always."
