I can easily get the Temmie Armor right onw for 1000g. If I die once more, I can get it for only 750g. Is it even necessary to fight Asgore?

Temmie armor & Asgore boss fight Undertale pacifist #6.
Temmie armor is the best armor in Undertale providing 20 DEF & some other stats. Apparently it makes all battles quite easy so it might ruin the game. It's not like it's acquired through illegitimate means though, it is actually quite a challenge to obtain it, so by using it, I don't feel like it's cheating. Besides, I may need it for Asgore since I'll be fighting him very soon. I've heard both that is NOT possible to do the true pacifist route on your first run, but I've also heard that it is possible. I don't know which is true. The idea is that, to leave the Underground, I'll have to kill Asgore & take his soul to cross the barrier. I feel like there's got to be a way to beat Asgore without killing him though. I have the butterscotch pie which will be useful with Asgore, the Temmie armor will make me last longer during the fight & I don't know what else I can do. There must be a way to defeat Asgore without fighting him! Can I just keep sparing Asgore? Will any act I perform possibly work? Can Toriel help me somehow? I'll find a way...
Aside from the end of Undertale, I'd also liek to go through the mysterious door. I think to unlock it, I need to dodge all the Kickstarter names in the credits. Sounds easy enough, maybe. Then I know there's also the fight with Flowey. I think. That's gonna go badly.
