Temperature Test for Dell Precision T3500 After Cooling Modification
The results of this is from a two 80mm rear fan modification I made on the Dell Precision T3500.
Initial Readings
Average Core CPU Temperature on Idle: 27.5 degrees C or 81.5 degrees F. The numbers I stated were not correct. This is the correct numbers.
Average Ram Temperature: 25.28 degrees C or 77.5 degrees F
GPU Temperature: No recorded
Final Readings
Average CPU Temperature: 34.0 degrees C or 93.0 degrees F. I made a mistake on the video on the final cpu temperature reading.
The difference between idle and game test temperature is about 11.5 degrees F or 6.5 degrees C. A 19.1% increase from idle.
Average RAM temperature: 27.3 degrees C or 81.14 degrees F
The ram temperature difference is 2.02 degrees C or 3.64 degrees F. A 7.4% increase from idle.
Average GPU temperature: 42.0 degrees C or 107.6 degrees F
The rear exhaust fans actually help with exhausting the hot air out of the case. The 2 front fans pull cool air in to the CPU heat sink and the ram through the duct. The 2 or 3 rear fans pulls the hot air out of the rear. This keeps the system cool; however, with the increased air flow into the case you do have to blow the dust out of the case every 6 months. If you do not, a lot of dust will collect inside the heat sink and other components in the case. You should maintain the computer regularly like any machine to keep it in perfect working order.
