After unlocking Beastly Mode (Tempest 2000's hard mode), I decided to give it a go. I used bonus stage warps on this one (i.e., completing a bonus stage warps you ahead five levels). Beastly Mode cuts your fire rate in half (at least, maybe more) which makes dealing with already-difficult situations much more challenging. Level 64 annihilated me as a result.
