Tempest Rising Review - A Fantastic Command And Conquer Like Experience
759Tempest Rising is a real-time strategy game that takes quite a bit of inspiration from classics of the genre like the seminal Command & Conquer franchise. Featuring two distinct campaigns split between its two playable factions, this RTS game doesn’t attempt to shake things up with unique ideas. Rather, it aims to bring us back to the 1990s and early-2000s experience by offering a more polished take on a genre that has seemingly been left by the wayside.
The execution here is rather remarkable. Both of the factions in Tempest Rising have enough subtleties to them that playing them definitely feels different, and both of the campaigns are great ways to spend a weekend.
Ultimately, while it is by no means revolutionary, Tempest Rising definitely feels like a worthwhile game to play since we just don’t get enough good, polished, fun strategy games these days.
