Technology is a lifeline for senior citizens, particularly apps like Weixin that can help them connect with loved ones and get things done. Unfortunately for many elderly people, the technology can also be confusing to use.

We conducted surveys earlier this year and learned that fraud protection, larger fonts, and a decrease in the number of popups were common concerns and could be disorienting to people unfamiliar with technology.

Weixin has addressed all three of these points in a new function called EasyMode. The multi-purpose messaging and payment app has also gone further, providing in-person and online training, making it safer and easier for seniors to participate online and get the most out of technology.
