Well well, to finish our Tenchu 1 compilation, I bring you the last title, Shinobi Hyakusen. This game is a compilation of 100 stages made by players using the Map Editor that was built-in Shinobi Gaisen. Acquire used those maps in here and coupled 22 more maps that act as hidden ones, thus bringing a total of 122 maps. Regardless of who you choose to play, the amount of progression you have made is shared by both Rikimaru and Ayame.
Pressing START on the Mission Selection map brings up the Completion Table. Each level gives you 1%. If you manage to complete the level under the given time, then you are given that 1%; if not, then you are just given 0.5%. Reaching 100% enables a hidden bonus in the Bonuses option in the main menu.
The mechanics are the same, no story. Main menu's color is now green, which I really like.
But on the other side, I didn't enjoy this game too much. It's too frustrating. Most of the levels require a literally PERFECT run. It's good for just some levels, not to play it over and over again like the original one.
