Terminator: Resistance is an FPS enriched with RPG elements . The production was developed by the Polish Teyon Games team, whose portfolio includes the Heavy Fire series and Rambo: The Video Game . Plot As a fictional prequel to the film series , Terminator: Resistance takes us to the United States engulfed in chaos after the revolt of the machines . The action of the game takes place some time before one of the T-800 models was sent into the past to eliminate Sarah Connor, and thus prevent the birth of John Connor, the future leader of the human resistance. During the game, we assume the role of Jacob Rivers - one of the rebels , whose team was murdered by robots. When the protagonist encounters a group of other survivors, he and them go on a dangerous journey through devastated America to stop the victorious procession of machines. The plot of the game is to some extent non-linear , and the fate of the hero and his friends depends on the decisions we make during the game. Mechanics In Terminator: Resistance we observe the action from the first-person perspective ( FPP ). Over a series of missions taking place on vast maps, we mainly deal with the implementation of various tasks and fighting the title machines; we face our opponents alone or alongside other soldiers controlled by artificial intelligence . During the clashes, we make use of an extensive arsenal of firearms and various gadgets that we find or produce ourselves (and, if necessary, improve), using the acquired resources. As we progress, we gain experience and unlock new skillsand we develop the ones we already have. In addition to combat abilities, other " skills " may prove useful , such as opening increasingly complex locks. Although there are many opponents among the opponents whose defeat is not a big problem (provided that we hit their weak points accurately), such as reconnaissance drones or robotic spiders, during the exchange of fire it is worth hiding behind covers, especially since health does not regenerate here automatically , and weakened strength can be restored with the help of first-aid kits found along the way. However, the encounters with the above-mentioned T-800 look a bit different. Because they are extremely resistant to damage, and at the same time they have a powerful attack power, so initially we have to sneak behind their backs and avoid direct confrontations at all costs; only with time our combat potential increases to such an extent that we can fight them as equals. Technical issues The three-dimensional graphics of Terminator: Resistance look decent; The attention is drawn primarily to the opponents, who are designed with attention to detail, and their metal armor is gradually destroyed during the exchange of fire. The game is accompanied by a soundtrack evoking associations with the music from the film original.
