Terra Tech - 0.6.2.1 - PT 7 - Reap Air Blimp Rides - Let's Play
3Since building the base of this tech in the campaign a little while ago it has been a work in progress. I had read something about a Geocorp flyer and it reminded me of the proposed Geocorp Blimps from a while ago. With that in mind I set out to make my version and this is what I ended up creating. Seeing how it was intended to be slow I figured I would use it as more of an observation craft or a bomber maybe. It does have a decent amount of fire power. It seemed like making it into an eyeball blimp was the right thing to do in this situation. With that my next monster tech is brought into existence.
I called it Keepin' N Eye Out for those previously stated reasons.
I Gave it a bit of a test in the R&D just to make sure everything was working alright and so far so good.
Now for the problem, I tried to order my now finished tech and it does not show up in the terminal menu. It can only be loaded when starting the R&D.
So for now that is my fifth monster tech that has had this happen to the snapshots. Sadly they may never make it into the campaign mode.
Anyway in the R&D this tech can travel at 70 MPH straight out and it gets there pretty fast. It can take off of a flat surface, but it does need some room to gain altitude. It will fly pretty stable, only needing small corrections here and there. It pretty much handles just like I expect a blimp to handle. Slow wide turns and now acrobatics. It does land very nice to make up for it.
