8Terraria is by now an iconic title in gaming history. It is also a bit overwhelming for new players because of the sheer volume of items, enemies, things to craft and places to explore. In this complete beginners guide to Terraria, I will explain to you the basics from the ground up by starting a brand character and world so you can watch and even play along. I will explain the controls, the UI, the mechanics, how to build, fight, manage your inventory and resources, and explore the map. I detail my thought process, sharing tips and tricks along the way but I spoil nothing about the game. I don't force a particular path or tell you to min/max, but rather help by providing the fundamentals so you can enjoy Terraria at your own pace. If you are thinking of buying the game and want to see early gameplay, or have purchased it but would like some pointers on the basics, this is the guide for you! I will be playing with no mods--vanilla Terraria!
