Terraria Guide - Break into Jungle Temple (Without Key!)
4Golem cannot be spawned before defeating Plantera, even if you get into the temple. The altar just won’t work.
However, you can get Solar Tablets from the chests to spawn an Eclipse. This is the main reason to break into the temple.
This video will also help you if you lost the Temple Key that Plantera dropped, or you can’t (or don’t want to) find the entrance to the temple.
The Temple is not meant to be entered before Plantera. You can’t teleport inside using the Rod of Discord before Plantera. Teleporters and Teleportation Potions will not put you inside either. The blocks and walls cannot be broken before Golem is defeated. The door requires a key dropped by Plantera to open. So it's (essentially) impossible to get in pre-Plantera.
Well, except for using hoiks. Hoiks have been in Terraria since sloped blocks were added, in 1.2 (I think). You can use hoiks to transport yourself very fast, or (in this case) pass through solid objects. Just by using a hammer!
