Redigit has been giving us a lot of spoilers in the past few week and there is a post on the terrariaonline forum which places all of the hints into one thread! I have made this video to summarise the facts we know so far which include:

Confirmed

-Legend of Maxx Reference
-Revamped Character Menu
-"Rare" Monster
-Moss
-Revamped Hardmode
-PvP Mechanic Change
-Very Rough Estimate for Release Date
-Silt Will Now Have a Use
-Gems Have Increased Use
-Waterfalls: Not Captured
-Over 250 items added
-The update will be bigger than 1.1
-NO Space Biome
-Hallow & Corruption Changes
(NEW) -New Hook
(NEW) About 60 aesthetic changes so far
(NEW) You can walk up 1 block tiles
(NEW) More then 5 world & character limit

There are also hints dropped such as a turtle pet, new pets, new biome, levelling system and much more! I am so stoked for this update and I am sure everyone else will be! :)
