Tesla Will Upgrade HW3 Vehicles For Free: Elon Musk says the honest answer is that Tesla will have to upgrade HW3 vehicles for those that have bought FSD. Tesla owners with the FSD package can request access to the Beta program. Process would be 'painful and difficult' but necessary to achieve the promised self-driving capabilities. This upgrade will not be provided to those only subscribing monthly to the FSD feature.
