test footage: Video capturing PS3 HDMI bypassing HDCP using ViewHD HDMI splitter
In this video, I am testing out the results of capturing PS3 gameplay through HDMI, by using the splitter to filter out the HDCP coding. The only issue I had was I was limited to capturing up to 720p. Capture card didn't like the 1080p, and the capture signal kept flickering with horizontal artifacts. Don't know if this is due to a recent PS3 firmware update, or because I was using the 4K compatible splitter (all the youtube tutorials showed the non 4K splitter working with 1080p).
Capture card is an Elgato HD
Software first tested was the Game Capture HD software that came with the Elgato. Software used during the actual video capture is OBS Studio 64bit version 17.0.2
