Test of the C64 to Scart cable purchased from eBay as "Commodore 64 C64 128 High Quality Scart Lead TV Cable". Real Commodore 64 (C64) is used, connected to LG M228WA TFT display with the cable. As seen on the video, the cable gives pretty clear picture in some of the colors, while some garish color are blurry. The test machine is Commodore C 64G Funkentstört n. DBP-Vfg. 1046/84.

The C-64 machine is ~28 years old.

Some more technical descriptions:
Video recorded with JAPAN (Speed) FX10 3D FULL HD 1080P 16.0 MEGA PIXELS DIGITAL CAMCORDER. During the fast switches of the background and border colors, the camera needs some time to adapt to the new light conditions. That's why there are changes of the focus and the tints. The upper part of the screen looks more dark than the down part of the screen because the light during shooting comes from above. On the screen the whole borders/backgrounds have the same color. When scroll is performed, if the video is paused, motion blur can be seen. This is because the display is TFT and not CRT, where the motion blur is much less visible, although not entirely disappearing.

The test program is written in Commodore BASIC and the source code is available at the beginning and at the end of the video. By pressing C= and Shift or Caps Lock keys, the case of the text is changing to upper-lower case and the other way around.
