640Ammonia Smelling salts are great for testing the face seal and filter of a gas mask/Respirator.
As these create a strong physical reaction even for people with a bad sense of smell they can be used to test if the mask fits properly, has leaks or if the filter is unsuitable for ammonia based gasses.
Currently ordering some even stronger smelling salts, the strongest I can find on the UK market for testing the face fit of masks and filter quality.
