Testing RX 470 with new AMD OpenGL Optimizations Driver
In the Release Notes of Adrenalin Driver 22.7.1 OpenGL optimizations are mentioned and amazing performance boosts in Minecraft and RX 6000 series graphics cards. So I wanted to find out if these optimizations also apply to older graphics cards like the RX 470 and other OpenGL games.
Test settings:
Unigine Heaven: 1920x1080, Quality: High, Tessellation: Disabled
Doom 3 BFG: 3840x2160, Frame Rate: 120 FPS, Vertical Sync: Disabled, Antialisasing: 4x, Motion Blur: 32x
Wolfenstain: The New Order: 3840x2160, Vertical Sync: Disabled, Graphics Quality: High
Windows 10 21H2, Latest Chipset Drivers (AMD system), Snappy Driver Installer Origin (Intel system)
Graphics Driver: Anisotropic Filtering: 16x, Pixel Format: Full RGB, Power Limit: 50% and 1126 mV for State6 and State 7 to ensure locked constant GPU Clock Speed
