Im usually not a fan of notebook "cooling pads" but after ive seen +90°C several times i thought i give it a try and see how much it could improve. I went for the CoolerMaster Notepal XL because of the fan size and the lower expected noise level. The position of the notebook intake fans were not exactly covered by the 230mm fan of the cooler so that might be an issue.

For the test ive set the notebook fans on static 100% to make sure the fan curve wont affect the temperature differences. After all im a bit disappointed by the results, most of the time there are not more than 1-2° difference. Maybe the affect is bigger under other conditions but this is not what i expected.
