Testing Workaround For SteamVR + Windows 11 Dual Monitor Issue (Valve Index + Samsung Odyssey G7)
1Switching off my Display Port Monitor (Main Monitor) and starting SteamVR via my 2nd monitor which is HDMI, at least allows me to load SteamVR.
If my Main Monitor is active while SteamVR loads or exits then my PC reboots, since ugprading to Windows 11 and whatever changes Steam has made to SteamVR in the past few months, because it was working then, albeit on Windows 10 without the "in-place" Windows 11 upgrade through Windows Updates.
Microsoft and Steam/Valve seem unable to find the cause and a permanent solution, so for now I have to switch off my Display Port monitor while my Display Port VR headset loads/switches off when SteamVR starts/exits.
Make sense? Me either.
But whatever, let's do this :D
