Tetris - 1989 - Game Boy | The first game that went to space
Tetris (Japanese: テトリス, Hepburn: Tetorisu) is a puzzle video game developed and published by Nintendo for the Game Boy in 1989. It is a portable version of Alexey Pajitnov's original Tetris and it was bundled with the North American and European releases of the Game Boy itself. It is the first game to have been compatible with the Game Link Cable, a pack-in accessory that allows two Game Boy consoles to link for multiplayer purposes. A colorized remake of the game was released on the Game Boy Color titled Tetris DX (テトリス デラックス, Tetorisu Derakkusu). A Nintendo 3DS Virtual Console version of Tetris was released in December 2011, lacking multiplayer functionality.
Tetris was the first game in space. In 1993, a Soyuz rocket flew to the Mir space station with cosmonaut Aleksandr Serebrov on board–alongside his Game Boy and a copy of Tetris. These were later sold by Bonhams in 2011 for $1,220; Serebrov claimed the Guinness World Record for the first person to play a game in space.

GAME RECORDING INFO:
The game was integer scaled to 4k, without bi-linear filtering, and retaining the original aspect ratio. I also use a shader / filter that simulates the image of the original Gameboy Screen (More like the way we remembered, than, the way it really was). I also created a classic Gameboy image to use as a bezel above the game, to create a nostalgic atmosphere.
