Tetris Exhibition - Shuey's 1st Attempt at QM's PF Method v3.1
What can I say about this video!? QM's recent discoveries of new Playing Forever techniques are one of the greatest holy grail moments in the history of Tetris!! This method is not only shorter (the original method took 20 bags to complete / QM's v3.1 takes only 5!!!), it still maintains simplicity, it's so elegant it's beautiful, and it can be executed at 20G (guideline games of course, not TGM, but hey!... it's still far more than the original PF method can boast :P).
I am extremely happy with this run, especially since it's only my first try at v3.1 (I had only tested v2 and v3, and hadn't even seen v3.1 until QM released a thread about it a day or two ago!). QM has taken the PF method to a whole new level with v2, v3 and particularly v3.1!
Man, I can't thank you enough for showing me new ways to deal with situational piece sequences! Testing the evolution of your versions, and being able to talk about the process has definitely caused me to grow in my abilities and understanding. And it was a lot of fun as well! :)
If you have any pointers on what I could've done when I got stuck at the very end, I'd definitely like to hear what you have to say. I think part of why I couldn't find my way out of that mess is because I was so freaking stoked about being able to play this new version so well that I needed to give my heart a rest :D. It had to have reached about 150bpm at one point, lol. That, and it's about 3 hours past my bedtime now :D
I look forward to playing around with this version some more, and I also hope to make some videos of my experiences with v2 and v3 :).
The entire Tetris community owes you a huge amount of gratitude and appreciation for what you've pulled off with these new PF methods! Thank you so much!
