Ok, so you may know already that I uploaded a botched example of the "playing forever" technique (described here: http://harddrop.com/wiki/Playing_forever) a few months ago.\n\nKitaru demonstrated this technique, as well as a programmed bot from another user. But after I took the time to really analyze the technique and the actual pattern that the wiki describes, I noticed that we all failed to demonstrate this technique properly. I'm not knocking Kitaru or the bot; they both definitely demonstrated that a player can strategically play out a 140 piece run that ends in a clear stage, ready to continue the "forever" loop. But the pattern demonstrated by the wiki was not actually followed correctly by any of us. Why does this matter? Because if you learn how the pattern actually plays out, the placement of all 140 pieces becomes easier through consistency.\n\nI've taken the libery of coloring the pattern from the wiki because it's easier to visual this way: https://picasaweb.google.com/lh/photo/oo6Wm8eEiCDFzBiXD5NITw?feat=directlink\n\nI also completed the loop twice in a row so you can see that the loop does work, and can be done the same way every time.\n\nI apologize for the slight delay at the start of the video; Camtasia has a 3 second delay before it starts recording.
