This stem system was pretty dated when the scooter was released. I have made countless videos about issues with this scooter and this one probably being among the worst ones. Due to the way the stem outer tube feeds into the inner stem tube and then gets clamped down you’ll have hard time noticing the micro fractures. If you are experiencing stem wobble at all I would recommend you remove the orange stem clamp and wipe down the outer stem and check for cracks. It is very likely that you have cracks you can’t see. While this design was revamped for the latest model, one can assume I’m not the first person to report this.
