TF2 On The "Omni" Directional Treadmill at EGX 2013: ValveTime Spotlight
In this episode of ValveTime Spotlight, we take a quick look at the Omni Directional Treadmill in use at the Eurogamer Expo in London in late September 2013. The hardware developers regularly used both Half-Life 2 and Team Fortress 2 to demonstrate how the device can be used alongside the Oculus Rift VR headset, an Xbox 360 controller, and a Kinect to provide more immersive and believable experiences for video games.
Apologies if the footage shown appears to be blurry or low quality. The video was not planned ahead of time, so the footage was recorded using a small handheld camcorder in extremely poor lighting conditions within a busy section of the expo centre.
