But like I mention in the video, it's a difficult time to celebrate, as a Palestinian, knowing kids and families are dying.
What's happening over there is the Israeli government is willing to murder tons of innocent people to stop Hamas from firing missiles. People on both sides are dying, many many more are dying on the Palestinian side. Why? Because Palestine is not a military super power with billions of dollars. Israel is filled with tremendously brilliant people, they came up with the Iron Dome missile defense which is INSANE tech. Is bombing the hell out of civilian areas the right thing and the only way they can defend themselves? No, of course not.
For decades Palestinians have been oppressed and occupied - my own mothers family had their home and property taken away in the 1940's. The path to peace is not bombing the hell out of innocent people to take out the Hamas minority. The path is giving Palestinians hope, rights, dignity. This oppression has been happening for decades. Both sides deserve safety. Both sides deserve peace. Both sides deserve to pursue dreams of happiness for themselves and their families. There are many people on both sides who want peace, and I know you guys want peace too. Let your voice be heard!
