That Time Peter Shinkoda Knocked Out a Puppet at Comic Con Revolution
Hi! Flick here from the Nerd Soapbox reporting from the Great White North all the way up in Ontario, Ca...lifornia, not to be confused with Canada. Yes, there really is an Ontario, California. And in my long trek (about 37 miles east of Los Angeles), I met up with actor Peter Shinkoda. We talk about working with Director John Woo on the set of Paycheck, bringing his character to life from script to screen on Steven Spielberg's Falling Skies, his fandom growing up, his first time auditioning (for Short Round on Temple of Doom), the "grueling" fight scenes on Netflix's Daredevil, the season of Dark Angel that never came to be, subverting Asian and American stereotypes, and his "leap" into producing. Finally, I end things with a move I picked up from watching Nobu only to get knocked out in the process.
