The 1st 15: Double Action Boogaloo
15Broken animations? Check. Dated visuals? Check. Lack of progression? Check. Entertaining mechanics? Check. Fun despite itself? Double-check. One of the first games in years to make me laugh out loud when I'm not recording? Mega-check.
Double Action Boogaloo is shallow entertainment in the same way that Vegas is; you know exactly what you're in for, the rules are simple to understand but difficult to master, and ultimately, what you'll remember about it isn't so much the game itself, but the hilarious experiences you'll inevitably accrue while playing it.
